- Get it started drying in a 100 ^F oven for an hour or two. Parchment paper under the apple, and turning it a few times, will help prevent a soppy underside.
- Leave the apple to dry out for several days. It will be drier than wet to touch, and rubbery to pressure. Once it is dried out enough, it should look like the face of an old woman.
- 8Create a body out of a rag. Drive a skewer up through the stem axis and introduce a doubled-over pipe cleaner or small dowel to support the apple's weight.
- Add limbs (twisted pipe cleaners), hair, clothing, and accessories such as a hat, broomstick, tiny iPod, etc.
- Voila! You've made an apple doll!
