Meal Worm to Beetle

We have begun a hands-on experience that will address  not only several science objectives but writing, reading and math objectives as well. Each student is responsible for a Meal Worm and conducting several experiments while watching the Meal Worm develop through its life cycle.

Guest Artist/Educational Story Teller/ Anthony Gibbs

In preparation for our Arts Off Campus field trip next week to the Hanby House, we were fortunate to listen to story teller Anthony Gibbs. The children were transfixed as  Mr. Gibbs dramatically presented John Parker’s life  story of determination, sacrifice, and extraordinary courage.  Parker was an ex-slave, inventor, entrepreneur, husband and father who risked everything, including his freedom, to help hundreds of slaves through the Ohio Underground Railroad.
